Cinephiliac Angelenos really can't go wrong tonight. Although they might consider looking into a Brundlesque cloning device. [I'm sure at least one is advertised next to the designer vagina ads in LA Weekly.]
In this corner [West Hollywood], the philosopher-king of film editing, Walter Murch, promotes his new book, Behind the Seen, at Book Soup at 7 p.m.
Also at 7 p.m. [Pasadena], biolexicographer David Thomson appears at Vroman's pimping his new book, The Whole Equation [a review copy of which Random House should not be shy about sending--hint hint].
Thomson also begins a curating stint this Thursday at the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, presenting a film series riffing on his latest tome. You can find the electic and excellent lineup here.
Thanks to LAist for turning the cinetrix green with envy at missing out. On the plus side, at least she doesn't need to grow gills just to leave the house.
