It's like the Times ad server can stare right into my soul or something.
Which reminds me. The cinetrix owes manohladargisofthenewyorktimes an apology. Back during the heady days of the Times' Cannes Journal, I may have suggested that Ms. Dargis was having trouble waking up, and that that in fact was the true reason she was shut out of an 8:30 a.m. screening of Jarmusch's flick Broken Flowers.
In fact, I have it on the best possible authority that she was there at 8:20 and the thing was already sold out: namely, Gerald Peary of the Boston Phoenix, who was also there and was also shut out, told me so over grits this summer.
The cinetrix regrets the insinuation.
