Brent Watanabe, Excerpt from San Andreas Streaming Deer Cam, 2015-16, Modified version of Grand Theft Auto V that creates and follows a deer wandering through the fictional state of San Andreas. The deer character is autonomous and will wander and respond to its surroundings, interacting with the existing GTA V artifical intelligence. The deer has been programmed to control itself and make its own decisions, with no one actually playing the video game. The deer is ‘playing itself’, with all activity unscripted… and unexpected.
